Meet Gotcha Covered of Chicago

After years in building management, Brian joined the Gotcha Covered team in August of 2011. His understanding of Chicago buildings and windows made his transition into custom window treatments a natural fit. With a clean and simple aesthetic, Brian really strives to make the window treatments blend seamlessly into any room. A vast wealth of knowledge, Brian excels in working with projects that require an additional level of detail. A forward-thinking person, Brian is always looking to stay on the forefront of the industry to make sure that Gotcha Covered has the latest offerings for our clients.

Gilberto Sanchez is our resident Drapery Expert and Showroom Manager. Joining the team full time in 2012, Gilberto has been a part of the Gotcha Covered team since the beginning. His strong fashion sense and eye for detail makes his ability with custom drapery second to none. Coming from a background in high end fashion sales, he has an innate ability to add and create luxury in the home. His interest in design and fashion keep him on the forefront of the latest trends, while his personal style is classic and timeless. Gilberto is also an avid fan of interior design and works with clients not only on drapery, but on color consultations and space planning as well.

Jay has been with the Gotcha Covered team since October of 2015 and has quickly become an asset to the company. Coming from a background in interior finishes, he has a great perspective on color and style in the home. His friendly and knowledgeable disposition makes him a trusted and valued resource that clients just love to work with. Jay is very well versed in motorization and home automation systems and how your shades can be tied into your smart home. His relaxed style is a blend of contemporary and transitional elements, which allows his creative vision to translate into any room or décor.

John joined the Gotcha Covered team in 2018. He's a graduate with a BFA from Pratt Institute in New York City and has been living in Chicago for 17 years. John has spent the majority of his career in the Gift & Home Decor and Specialty Wholesale Industry. He's got a way of making his clients feel very much at ease and helps them realize the design potential for their home or business. He's always going the extra mile to make sure everything is covered correctly, from the first consultation to follow-ups after installation. John also brings a bit of global influence into his design sensibility; in his spare time, he leads culinary and art tours throughout Italy.

Brett Almasi joined the Gotcha Covered team in June 2024, bringing with him a rich background in the construction and gourmet grocery industries. His deep understanding of sales and building materials has made his transition into custom window treatments a seamless one. Brett's approachable and down-to-earth nature, coupled with his innate design sense, ensures that clients feel at ease throughout the entire process. His practical yet versatile design approach can adapt to a wide range of styles, from modern to comfortably homey. Brett is committed to prioritizing the customer’s needs from the initial consultation through to the final installation, making sure every detail is handled with care.

Chris Meyer, a seasoned window treatment installer with over 20 years of experience in the Chicago area, is celebrated for his meticulous attention to detail and adept problem-solving skills. Known for his expertise in handling complicated window configurations, Chris's innovative solutions have earned him a stellar reputation. Beyond technical proficiency, his client-centric approach ensures a personalized experience, making him a trusted professional in the industry.
